Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider serving that result flow; our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information you choose to include, and we use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site receives standard server-log information, including an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and times of access. We review it in aggregate for site operation and page-use trends. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Data Is Used
The limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements to Spartanburg reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
External Services
Links lead to County and state portals, archives, library collections, and outside search services. The policies of those destinations govern data submitted there, including information entered into sponsored-result tools supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the service may process its server logs. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the technical data described above. Information is disclosed in response to valid legal process when required, and otherwise is not shared beyond these operational purposes.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for as long as the operating purposes described here require. No user accounts are offered, so the service does not hold an account password or user profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from a visitor under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Information Choices
Applicable law may give you rights to ask about, correct, or remove personal data a service holds. Because this service retains very little, we can check the contact mailbox and available server logs when asked through the Contact page. South Carolina public records are controlled by their own custodians and statutes, including the Freedom of Information Act, S.C. Code Ann. ยงยง 30-4-10 et seq.; a correction or removal request for an official record belongs with that agency.
Policy Changes
Any revision will appear on this policy page. Continued use after the posting of a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
